Two-time heavyweight champion Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Fatal Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The 36-year-old was part of a serious road collision near Lagos on December 29th, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Healing from Light Wounds

Joshua had been receiving medical attention while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives confirmed on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on X that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.

“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” Omotosho said.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the loss of his two close friends.”
