Jet Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window

An aircraft ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official statement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet touched down based on standard procedures and everyone onboard, including Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson said in a online announcement.

He was traveling back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital at the time.

This occurrence isn't the first time that a American defense plane carrying a senior official has experienced equipment failures.

Months ago, a US Air Force plane carrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was compelled to return to the US capital after encountering a technical issue.
