FC Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Game at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in domestic competition over two years since relocating for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans can be present as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Preparatory Events

Barcelona held a public practice on the home pitch earlier this month. The club said they were hoping for permission by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht in December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
